I want to get a two "Single Actions" with nickel finish and real stag grips... just because.
How well does the nickel finish hold up and what cleaners can be used that will not harm the finish? |

Buck, I currently have 4 nickel plated USFA's and they are holding up just fine. The plating on the USFA's seem to be of better quality than that found on some other firearms. I have been using Balistol on all of my plated guns and it works just fine. DHM |

| Just don't use solvents that remove copper, like Hoppes #9. Shooter's Choice & Balistol are good choices. |

Is the 'satin nickle' of the Rodeo 2 ,,, as duralbe as the bright nickle on other models ?
The cost difference between a Rodeo and Rodeo 2 is only 50 dollars,,,so,,,I was just curious that if for 50 dollars one would be getting full quality nickle ?
No offense meant, I merely have considered a Rodeo 2 before, and just...well,,,needed to know this.
Thank you
MD

| In a similar comparison, the Rodeo is a matte blue finish as compared to a polished blue, and I definitely can say that the Rodeo finish has stood up to several shooting & cleaning sessions without any noticeable loss or damage in finish. Again though, be careful to not use copper solvents on nickel finished firearms as these get under the finish and separate it from the metal surface. |

The difference between the Rodeo II and the regular nickel SA is in the polish. Like the Rodeo, the Rodeo II is glass beaded. The Rodeo is put in the bluing tank and the Rodeo II goes in the nickel tank. The standard nickel revolver is brought to a much higher level of polish. Because of the time involved, only 2-3 high polish nickel guns can be polished in any given day. Gary |

| I've used about every gun product they've ever invented over the past 40+ years and have found nothing better than "Gibbs" Brand to preserve the entire finish on any firearm. It displaces water, resists finger prints, disolves rust, does not attract dirt, will not gum up, etc. I think their web site is www.gibbsbrand.com |
